Implementation of Solid Waste Management Bye-Laws 2026 in Pujali Municipality
Pujali Municipality has officially introduced the Solid Waste Management (SWM) Bye-Laws 2026, aimed at ensuring a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable urban environment for all residents.
As per the notice issued, a draft bye-law was initially prepared in accordance with the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016, and made available for public review between 15 December 2025 and 31 December 2025. Citizens were encouraged to submit their suggestions and feedback during this period .
Following due consideration of public inputs and approval by the Board of Administrators, the final bye-law has been implemented with effect from 01 February 2026 . The approved regulation is titled “Pujali Municipality Solid Waste Management Bye-Law – 2026.”
